Lakehead Painting StaffMark R. Vieau – President
Mark graduated with an accounting degree from the University of Minnesota in 1976.  Mark began working at Lakehead while attending college, first as a painter, then as a financial manager.  In 1980, he purchased the company together with Robert Brooks Jr.  Today, Mark has complete executive management responsibility for estimating resources, project and financial management, marketing, strategic planning and procurement. - E-mail Mark

Rob Vieau – Vice President of Field Operations, NACE #37088, SSPC-CAS, OSHA 30
Rob graduated with an accounting degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2001.  Rob began working for Lakehead while attending college and was promoted into project management after many hours of field work on various commercial and industrial projects.  Currently, as Operations Manager, Rob has experience in the petrochemical, paper and pulp industries, and is factory trained in Graco Reactor Pumps developed for high performance coatings. - E-mail Rob

Ryan Vieau – Vice President, MEHS, CHST, NACE #38972
Ryan earned his Master’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety from the University of Minnesota – Duluth in 2005 and his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications (minor in Coaching) from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls in 2004.  Previous to joining Lakehead, Ryan was Safety Manager for the API Group, Inc. in St. Paul, MN and Corporate Safety Director with Western States Fire Protection (subsidiary of API Group, Inc) in Denver, CO.  Ryan holds several industry related credentials and in 2014 Ryan was honored with the Top 40 Under 40 Rising Stars of Safety Award which is presented by the National Safety Council and sponsored by DuPont. - E-mail Ryan

Cheryl Ormston – Secretary/Treasurer
Cheryl has been with Lakehead since 1983.  A graduate of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical Institute (WITC) in Superior, Cheryl is responsible for accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll. - Email Cheryl

Chris Mercier – Site Supervisor, NACE #38964, SSPC-CAS, OSHA 30
Chris joined Lakehead in 1999 as an abrasive blaster and painter.  In 2005 Chris was promoted to foreman and in 2011 as site supervisor.  Chris completed his NACE CIP Level 1 in 2011 and CIP Level 2 in 2012 and continues to hold his NACE certification.

Roland Vieau – Shop Supervisor, OSHA 30
Roland has been with Lakehead since 1985 and is the superintendent for one of Lakehead’s largest customers, Enbridge Energy (U.S.) Inc.  Experienced in the petroleum, paper and pulp industries, Roland is also knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment.

Matt Verdoljak – Site Supervisor, NACE 2, SSPC-CAS, OSHA 30
Matt joined Lakehead in 1999 as an abrasive blaster and painter. In 2010 Matt was promoted to foreman and in 2012 attained his SSPC-CAS certification. In early 2016 Matt earned his NACE level 2 and continues to hold both the SSPC and NACE certifications.

Bret Ormston – Site Supervisor, NACE 2, SSPC-CAS, OSHA 30
Bret joined Lakehead in 2010 as an abrasive blaster and painter. In 2012 Bret was promoted to foreman and in 2012 earned his SSPC-CAS certification. In early 2016 Bret attained his NACE level 2 and continues to hold his NACE and SSPC certifications.

Rick LaJoie – Site Supervisor, NACE 2, SSPC CAS, OSHA 30, CDL
Rick joined Lakehead in 2009 and started as a driver, abrasive blaster and painter. In 2012 Rick took on the responsibility of company DOT compliance and was promoted to foreman and then site supervisor. In 2012 Rick attained his SSPC CAS certification and his NACE 2 certification in June of 2016.

Matt Springer – Site Supervisor, NACE 1, OSHA 30
Matt joined Lakehead in 2006 as a painter and abrasive blaster. He follows the footsteps of his father, Scott, who was a Superintendent for Lakehead for 25 years. In 2014 Matt earned more responsibility as a site Foreman and will attain his NACE 2 certification in 2017.
